Roles and Responsibilities

At Varthana, I took charge of redesigning critical user flows and interfaces for both the loan application website and the internal loan management app. My focus was on simplifying complex processes, enhancing user experience, and delivering modern, user-friendly interfaces that align with business goals.

Loan Application Website Redesign


  • Streamlined User Flow :

    Reduced the number of fields from 38 to 30, eliminating unnecessary questions to improve efficiency. Transformed the application process from a complex 7-page form into a 3-section vertical scroll, significantly reducing friction and improving the overall user experience.

    • Improved UX :

    Applied progressive disclosure techniques to simplify the user journey, presenting only essential information at each stage, which reduced cognitive load and increased form completion rates.

    • UI Revamp :

      Redesigned the document upload page with a fresh, modern interface, visually appealing and intuitive experience. This UI enhancement ensured that users could easily upload documents.

      Loan Management App


      • Unified Case Management :

        Merged the previously separate case history and notes sections into a chat-style interface, allowing team members to track updates and collaborate more efficiently. This improved workflow streamlined communication and ensured seamless case handling.

        • Dashboard and Analytics Design :

        Came of with a dashboard view that provided teams with real-time insights through data visualisation, including performance analytics and key metrics. This empowered the credit and operations teams to make informed decisions with ease.

        • Enhanced Collaboration :

          Integrated features like tagging team members and mentioning colleagues, facilitating smoother collaboration and enabling teams to stay informed about case progress in real time.
